Biography

I have been trained as a professional recorder player by Peter Quakernaat, Frans Brüggen, Berber Sierksma and Baldrick Deerenberg and had private lessons from Carl Dolmetsch and Daniel Brüggen.

Frans, Daniël and I are all members of the Brüggen family and its musical heritage, so you can say; It is a recorder family..
I have studied piano on the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam with Edith Grosz-Lateiner and Danielle Dechenne and had my masters in development economics in 1984 at the University of Amsterdam.

Since 1990 I have my own consultancy firm on subsidies/grants and public procurement contracts working for a wide range of clients (education, science, pharma, IT, business, etc.)
